Lamar University has launched a master's degree program in management information systems. This program will begin in Spring 2019 and delivered fully online. https://www.lamar.edu/news-and-events/news/2018/09/lamar-university-launches-master-of-science-in-management-information-systems.html?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=facebook_page&utm_medium=Lamar University&utm_content=Lamar University launches Master of Science in Management Information Systems
Great find. Just e-mailed them and apparently letters of recommendation are not required. I got this reply (basically most applicants don't need the GMAT or GRE):
For anyone interested, you can probably get $1000 off tuition, at least through an online ad/offer, e.g.: https://degree.lamar.edu/online/mini/180327/?bannerid=lamar_all_all_x_target_1000off (Their MS in MIS is not listed there yet.) Their online MBA programs are 36 credits and are about $13.6k. So the cost for the MIS at 30 credits should be less than $13k.
On a related note, free SAP courses from SAP: https://open.sap.com/courses These could augment a more technical/sciency degree for those not interested in a MIS. (Personally, I am more interested in the Information Science degree at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.)
The MIS program is more management based whereas the IS is more technical/science in nature. The program you choose to pursue will be based on your career interests.
