I received notice that I have been provisionally accepted into Western Carolina University's Masters of Entrepreneurship program! I have no idea of what the provisions are for full admission at this point. I'm hoping it's not a big deal. Getting in today ensures that I qualify for the Southern Regional Education Board's application for in-state tuition. After the first summer semester North Carolina is withdrawing from the program. So it looks like I am barely slipping in. This means that I am paying $215 per credit hour which is a smoking deal! I am very excited about all of this!
I received my letter of conditional admission today. I need to get the required score on the GMAT to become fully admitted or I can become provisionally admitted if I don't get the required score. If I don't get the score that I need I can become fully admitted by completing 3 courses with a B or higher. Man, I'm really excited about this program! I am tempted to get an MBA because it seems to be more in demand but for less than 7k I don't feel the pressure to get a degree that will get me a better job. Since I plan to remain self employed I don't see a major problem.
So basically, as long as you can do your grad work - you're in! I was conditionally admitted into my MBA program as well. The best news for you is that the GMAT is not a make or break deal!
So, even though the school requires entrance exam for admission; you can be accepted without testing score as conditionally admission?
So, take it already! Congratulations. Do not worry about the provisional status. Do your best on the GMAT, and go out and do great things!
