Hello! Long time lurker, first time question-asker. I am a teacher of languages, and a new job opportunity has arisen for me to teach Italian at the postsecondary level. I am fluent in Italian but do not have any graduate credits in Italian. Does anyone know of institutions that offer graduate courses in Italian by distance? The actual program doesn’t matter: can be education, languages, liberal studies, etc. What matters is that they regularly offer graduate courses clearly marked Italian. It’s also important to me that it’s a regionally accredited institution. Thanks, everyone!
You are going to have lots of choices https://italian.rutgers.edu/academics/readingknowledge http://frit.indiana.edu/courses/online.shtml https://www.modlang.fsu.edu/programs/italian/graduate-program-ma-italian-studies https://uwm.edu/italian/ http://spanitalport.as.virginia.edu/italian-studies-program There are more. A simple google search found them all.
I am very thankful for the help! None of these are what I need, so I should probably be clearer. I want to find distance courses (online, or even old-fashioned correspondence if that exists) to get 18 graduate hours in Italian. So the Rutgers program is only one “reading” course; IU’s only online courses are undergraduate; and the remaining three schools are traditional (“on-ground”) grad programs. If anyone can still help, know I’ll be eternally grateful!
