This is good. I would say that it is very similar to a legal defense team putting together their defense for a murder trial. Should the defense be allowed to present a defense, of course. Should we take the defense team report as the final word, of course not.

That is always the initial defense position in a murder trial, for example.

Credible investigators vs info from Hamas affiliated and corrupt agencies.
Chances are the report is very factual, unlike the lies of Hamas affiliated news that are mixed data and unreliable.
I'm sure there will be opponents, there already are but this is the nature of these things.
I'm yet to review or read some of the report, 277 pages, I will feed in to AI and get a summary.

The best thing about the report is probably that it would seem to indicate that Israel is becoming at least a little concerned with the poor reputation that this Gaza war is painting on them.

I'm absolutely certain though that the conclusion of the report was well known prior to the first word being written or even the first day of analysis being done.

The damage caused by this war—both in terms of lives lost and the surge in global hostility—is undeniable. The wave of hate it's triggered is felt across the world: from assaults on Jews in major cities to synagogues set on fire in places like Sydney.

That said, some facts remain unchanged: over 50 hostages are still in Hamas captivity, with 20 a live feared to be in critical condition, and the war is far from over.
Hamas remains operational, continuing to pose a threat.

Israel is forced to justify its actions in an international climate that has grown increasingly hostile, often shaped by well-funded, long-standing anti-Israel campaigns.
This isn’t just about global perception—it's about pushing back against narratives that have been carefully built over years.

Reports like this may reflect some level of introspection, but they also emerge in an environment where no matter what Israel does, it faces a coordinated campaign to delegitimize it. The long-term impact on public opinion and antisemitism may take years—if not decades—to reverse, if at all.

As to report, it's critical of IDF and some decisions, it's not what some Israel haters - Hamas supporters will try to paint it.

At times, it feels like we are witnessing the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies—where all nations turn against Jerusalem.
The level of hostility directed at Israel today, often disproportionate and detached from facts on the ground, echoes ancient warnings.
Israel is trying to defend itself not only on the battlefield but also in a world that has become increasingly biased, shaped by a decade or more of coordinated anti-Israel activism. Reports like the one referenced may reflect internal debate or accountability—but they also emerge in a climate where Israel is judged more harshly than any other democracy under fire.

    Zechariah 12:3:

“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.”

    Zechariah 14:2:

“For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle...”

These prophecies are often cited in modern times by those who observe increasing international condemnation of Israel—particularly during times of war—as potentially aligning with these ancient Biblical predictions.

Israel agrees that a Syrian force will enter Sudida

    Last updated: 18.7.2025 / 5:57

The fighting resumed in the past day, despite the ceasefire between the Druze and the government in Damascus.
Although Netanyahu said that the area south of Damascus would remain demilitarized, a political source said that a regime’s internal security force would be deployed in the Druze majority city.

Not that anybody here troubled by genocide in Syria against minorities, reports and testimonies of the atrocities continue, the death toll reached about 600.
The Bedouin tribes launched a new offensive yesterday, despite the ceasefire between Damascus and the Druze, which was achieved under international pressure and after Israeli intervention and massive attacks in the Syrian capital. According to local reports, the tribes have advanced in Suwida, backed by fighters from the nearby Daraa province and other Sunni tribes in Syria. Documentaries distributed on social media reveal other atrocities, including one of Druze's execution at close range.

Lets see how fast Israel haters will try to switch the discussion in to Gaza war, to deflect from the topic that exposes the cruel Jihadists, al-Qaida, ISIS monsters.

I just caught the end of an interview on CNN's Fareed Zakaria's show. The fellow was asked if what is going on in Gaza can rightfully be called genocide. He made the point that what Hamas did on October 7, 2023 and based on the Hamas charter one could call that genocide against Israel. He then said that Israel has every right to respond and defend themselves but just because genocide was committed against Israel on October 7, it doesn't give Israel the right to commit genocide in response. Based on the total destruction in Gaza and the starvation and the lack of water and the words said by Israeli leaders dehumanizing Gazans and calls for Gazans to be moved out of Gaza that genocide is taking place in Gaza. Israel is trying to destroy the Gazans as a group.

I believe that to be a false equivalency.

One very important point to claim a Genocide is the groups actually has a means to carry it out. While Hamas promotes the idea of a genocide, I do not believe they have the power to commit a genocide. They restrict themselves to genocidal acts of terror, yes, and they do not have the power to do more than that.

On the other hand, Israel has overwhelming power over the Gaza strip and is acting on the genocide. They have already killed an overwhelming number of innocent civilians and will continue to do so even if they get hostages because their goal is to wipe out Hamas, who they have defined as basically all Palestinians. This need to be seen through their treatment of Palestinians since the establishment of the State of Israel. The attacks on Oct 7th did not begin on Oct 7th, but merely escalated. Years of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, genocidal attacks, terrorism, and other human rights abuses have led to what we see today.

Egypt, you forgot Egypt that also has border with Gaza.
But the issue here is that new Bin Laden

BS, no apartheid, Gaza was left no Israelis in Gaza since 2006.
They simply want all Israel to be destroyed.
Why don't you say what really Hamas wants?
So the attack on Oct 7th is continuation of war of 1948 when Arab armies attaked Israel.
And the Jihadis in Syria want the same.
They will rebuild and attack Israel.
The Al Jolani is like Bin Laden.

What you say is true. The reason I like that argument about Hamas committing genocide on October 7, 2023 is because it perfectly undercuts the argument that Israel can't be committing genocide because they have only killed such a small percentage of the 2 million Gazans. Israel does have very vast power over Gaza. If Netanyahu thought the USA would continue to support Israel, Netanyahu could have easily killed over half of the Gazans by now. Now I haven't read Israel's 277 page defense to their genocide but I'll guess that will be part of their argument.

You haven't proved yet that there is a genocide in Gaza.
You accuse Israel of one but there is no such in Gaza.

This discussion is about genocide of minorities such as Druze in Syria by Jihadi.
Why are you trying to shift it?
There are plenty discussions on Gaza war.
Very deceptive tactic to try to shift from horrors and atrocities by Jihadis in Syria.

This conversation raises the question what percent a success rate an aggressor must have to have for it to qualify as genocide.

    I see your point.

    To me this discussion-
The title of this discussion — Israel Bombed Syria — and much of the commentary seem aimed less at understanding the context and more at assigning blame to Israel and Netanyahu.

What’s striking is the lack of concern for the very real atrocities committed in Syria itself — including ethnic cleansing and mass killings by various Jihadist factions over the past decade and now, last week.
The focus here is not on that ongoing horror, but rather on portraying Israel as the aggressor.
Even when evidence was presented explaining the rationale behind Israel’s actions — several participants doubled down, quickly pivoting the conversation to the Gaza war and again painting Israel in the worst light.

Curiously, I have yet to see these same voices express similar outrage over the mass murder and sectarian violence committed by Jihadis in Syria.
