    So what is your question?

"Is war justified?" or is it "Is war inevitable?"

    Sure you're not a politician??

    Is war inevitable - NO

Is war justified - insufficient information to determine.

I didn't notice that he asked two different questions. They have different answers, at least in my opinion.

    Is war inevitable?

    Is war Justified

Clearly two questions, only one is a poll. The first leaves too much room for speculation. Hence the poll which would be more definitive.

Is war (presumably with Iraq) inevitable? No.

Is such a war a war justified? It may or may not be.

I think that before I sign on to this war idea 100%, I'm going to want Bush and his people to make the case a lot more convincingly than they have so far.

Right now, I'm more concerned about North Korea than Iraq.

The results are very much in line with some polls out there.

    Interesting.

I am flabbergasted at how the Democrats have made N. Korea such an issue. Sure they have nuclear weapons, but many countries do (like the U.S.) People think that the wrong is having these weapons. It is not. The wrong is having them and not disclosing it. The N. Koreans, evil as they are do not pose the same threat that Iraq does. We KNOW what they can do. I am curious as to why Iraq will not disclose what they have. Why do they want to be so sneaky? That is why we need to do something. Remember 9-11, USS COLE, the first WTC attack?

Why is now not as oppurtune a time as the first time we tried to deal with this? Is it because there was no need to try to recapture control of Congress? I mean really, doesn't this stuff make you wonder? If Bush is seen as saving the world, that would harm these efforts.

Is this war for Oil? Maybe partially, but do we think that President Bush is trying to keep it for himself? Oil is important to the global economy, But S. Arabia produces more oil. Why ar we not talking about attacking them. Because their leader is not as crazy and evil as Hussein. How will we feel when another attack happens like 9-11. When was the last time that N. Korea attacked us? Maybe we should wait to pose this question when something actually does happen.

    I'm frustrated!

    Frustrated?

    Perhaps that's what Hussein wants.

We all know a nation (enemy) divided shall not stand.

Good method of warfare ...confuse the enemy and let them bicker and quarrel amongst themselves.

At this point Hussein's got most of the world fighting each other about fighting him.

This could be why he drags his feet and plays cloak and dagger games.

    Who knows.

    "War for Oil?" NOT..

Of course, it depend upon the numbers, but Philadelphia Inquirer columnist Trudy Rubin
    http://www.kansascity.com/mld/philly/news/columnists/trudy_rubin/4925396.htm
relys on experts whose numbers argue against any "War for Oil" since it's too costly, too diplomatically and politicallty improbable, and too far off to benefit the US ahead of Iraq!

    If so--who starts these rumors?

If anyone saw the State of the Union address last evening, the President made clear the fact that Saddam would be held accountable for his actions.
Sure sounds like he means it. War? I'd say one or two weeks before the first bombs begin falling.

Where's Osama? Or will any Arab due at this point? Bush just read us a speech that was crafted by the still in operation Office of Strategic Information.

North Korea is a good study in how not to handle the situation. Perhaps if we sent Jimmy Carter over to build a house and get them to say "I'll be good" we can give Iraq Light water reactors. Or perhaps the only justifiable time to bomb is to hit an aspirin factory after getting caught with an intern. War declaration according to the Peoples Republic of Hollywood.

If Iraq becomes North Korea, Kuwait becomes a suburb of Baghdad and not squat we can do about it. Just as with nuclear capability North Korea can now make an equivalent of the Oklahoma Land run to the south. Why don't we ask Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey, or Israel their thoughts? Even Saudi Arabia when Iraq was knocking on their door in the early 90's. Ask Japan or Taiwan how they feel about the failed policy towards North Korea.

We could even ask ourselves, what if the terrorists that are sponsored by Iraq, are equipped by Iraq? How many lives have to be lost?

Is war inevitable? Ask Saddam Hussein.
