I'd like to see a citation on this alleged factoid.

    o_O LOL

Please keep posting. You do not need confronting, really; with gentle encouragement you will put your foot in your mouth, 100% of the time.
Let's see, now: you said that society do not favor men, right before "reminding" us all that all money in the economy rightfully belong to said men. o_O Then generously allowed that women could "even" vote, before starting to ponder what kind of "patriarchy" is the best most correctest structure. Stating that gender designed to handle pregnancy and childbirth is less equipped to handle "stress" is just cherry on top. "Manosphere" o_O Bwahahahahahahaha!

PS: People here know I have my personal Carthago, but it seems relevant. Russia is the least feminist quazi-Western country I know. "Feminism" is swear word there, worse than "US State Department". You could look it up, but IIRC they are among the countries with highest divorce and abortion rate in Europe, and their birth rate is in the gutter. Ponder that.

PSS: My deepest sympathy for the victims of another incel attack, their family, Tallahassee and FSU communities.

Dr. William Moulton Marston believed that women are naturally superior to men and, if allowed to reach their potential, are natural benevolent rulers. This, to put it mildly, is not very scientific - while still being more grounded in reality and coherent than what Luciano spews.

Regarding the question in the O.P.:

If "feminism" means women being treated fairly, if it means their having an equal chance at success, then I naturally support it.

    But...

When "feminism" becomes shrill, accusatory and divisive, then it repels me. When it turns against things I love and respect (like the Western intellectual tradition), it repels me. When it turns into aggressive female identity politics, it repels me. I'm especially put off by things like "feminist philosophy", which generally speaking seems to me to be intellectually worthless.

So to answer the question in the O.P., my view is that it depends on what is meant when the word "feminism" is used.

We used to have an emote of a yellow smiley face holding up a sign that said "This thread sucks!".

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a duplicate in an image search.

Let's see if I can place this in perspective:

    Stanislav's credentials are, among others:
Luciano's credentials, in his own words from an earlier thread, are, among others:
Luciano is now challenging Stanislav in the most patronizing way. Stanislav has several points built up at this point. Luciano, zip.

Luciano, I think you've been tolerated here because (1) there's something likeable about you, and (2) for someone who evidences learning disabilities, you've done remarkably well, especially with your obvious history of ASD. But in this forum, you're playing in the big leagues. You have much to learn, and we're happy to be playing a part. But it is becoming more obvious every day that those with whom you are engaging in dialogue regarding feminism think you're off the wall. It's time to chill out.

But why get upset I am critical of the movement? Women had fought a lot of rights already. I even gave like 3 links in my last post. And being the son of a feminist myself I think I have right to express my disapproval.

Good, more challenging means working on my critical thinking more.

Like I said feminism anyways has only been more mainstream at least into Western society the last 10-20 years, Russia is an exception to the rule of thumb.

I don't desire taking a feminist studies class, I do desire learning the movement so as long it has a neutral tone(notice I didn't say I want it to have a "red pill" tone)
I also recommend learning the difference between equality of outcome vs equal opportunity

That's cool, I accept the nature of differing worldviews and beliefs...

Respect to those who call themselves feminists still, they fight for their causes and issues just the same as any other group.

I want for gender relations to maintain stability in best of hope.

The feminist cycle is real, so I suggest checking out the other links and the enablement of feminism during the Roman Empire.

If I was a misogynist, I would be advocating for femicide, but I am not.

Men still make up the majority of homeless population

Men still make up the majority of murder victims

Men still makeup the majority of std victims

Men make up the majority of the prison population

Men still have the lower life expectancy

Men still makeup the majority of workplace accidents

Men commit more suicide than men

Men are still not allowed to speak on abuse or rape

Feminism claims it helped tick off these toxic masculine pressures, but I don't really see the evidence.

Ok ok calm down, I don't want this to be a flameout, how bout a question I am about to bold to settle it all for once

What are some college courses worth taking related to the sociology and psychology of gender politics? They have to be from a very neutral standpoint, nothing feminist or even MRA-blinded

    Thanks :3

Relax for a second, Luciano. I’ve gotta fill in a minor detail for everyone else…

One of the common aspects/symptoms of ASSD (autism spectrum disorder) is an obsession with one particular subject – it could be anything. Luciano’s early posts suggested that he has this type of obsession with transportation engineering. But this thread would suggest a second obsession (quite literally), this one with feminism. Where he gets his ideas or positions we will never know, although hs suggested that his “research” was focused on “a VHS tape.” Nonetheless, he uses phrases that are not normally identified with mainstream discussions of feminism and holds positions that have no supporting research.

Having said all that, let’s get to you, Luciano. I don’t wish to harp on your self-description (17 y.o., high school junior in special education, with a multitude of learning disability diagnoses), struggling with his classes in special ed, and now inquiring about college-level courses in gender politics. Frankly, dude, it’s too early for you to be doing that. The first thing you have to do is get through high school. The next thing you have to consider is what direction you want to pursue in college (which includes, if you have not done so already, checking out LD-friendly colleges, of which there are several).

The post you quoted from Kizmet was hardly a flameout. She intended it to be a joke (and it was, indeed, funny), and hardly needed a “calm down” response. Moreover, the question you bolded did nothing to settle anything, for there was nothing to settle.

As little formal learning as you have had on feminism or gender politics, many people in this forum have had full-length courses in this area. It’s part of many college curricula, but it’s only one part, and studied along with a multitude of other subjects. And while the topic of gender politics may fascinate you, you should realize that most other people do not give a proverbial shit about the topic in relation to other topics.

Finally, if you are truly looking for courses in this area, it’s time to learn how to do your own research. There are plenty of courses, most of which are searchable on the Internet. For us to find them for you would simply allow you to be lazy, and your thinking is obviously advanced enough that you should be able to do your own research.
