No, we don't know that means, since he does not indicate the US institutions where he trained, nor the jurisdiction that awarded his PE title.

If he is a licensed professional engineer, his license may have been granted by the Philippines, which has a licensing process similar to the US system. However, Philippine engineering licenses have essentially no legal value or recognition in the US. For example, US state engineering boards will not waive any of their normal licensure requirements for Philippine-licensed engineers.

    Norwich is a name UK.
Norwich is a name in Vermont as well.
Norwich University was first started at Norwich and when in1834 the south barracks got burnt, they moved to Northfield. The name of that University still remains Norwich University and located at Northfield and very good university for that matter.

Instead of requesting for where he got degrees, you digged on incomplete profile and made conslusion, You are wrong about Dr. Nunez. let me afford you some time to dig and you end up making request for information on whatever you do not have. your thread should not appear personal but informative.

I have no interest rather, but just concerned that some schools need to grow as the one we attended took time to grow as well. There was actually no need resurrecting this but I just stumbled inot it and felt I should state some information I know about it. That was it. Period of growth is usually challenging to most schools. What matters is that schools are registered and conduct lectures(trad or online). When they are consistent, accreditation of various levels becomes an issue. accreditation is not permanent, you can win it or lose it depending on your perfomance on their index. For example, this Norwich was refused registration by Connecticut over century ago. That was a trying moment before they got the chatter in Vermont and changed to University. Alden Patridge refused to yield and today the result is out.

you may still refer to the following where Dr. Nunez holds position not to only rutherford:

    Professor of Environmental Science
    UNIVERSITY OF CEBU
    College of Engineering
    Sanciangko Street
    Cebu City 6000

    Professor of Graduate School
    CEBU DOCTORS' UNIVERSITY
    Osmena Boulevard
    Cebu City 6000

    Adjunct Instructor
College of Civil and Environmental Engineering
    SEATTLE UNIVERSITY
    Seattle, WA USA

American College of Forensic Examiners Institute
Member, Executive Board of Engineering & Technology Advisors
    Springfield
    Missouri
    USA

    Thanks for you time.

A man can be faithful to his wife and then turn around and rob a bank. The fact that he's faithful to his wife doesn't make him an honest man. I don't know any of those schools. Maybe they're real schools maybe they're bogus schools. Even if they are legitimate schools and even if the person in question is actually involved with them in some substantial way, it doesn't change the fact that the school in question in this thread is an unwonderful school.

]Bill Dayson: "And why does everyone in these weird offshore registered sorta-British "universities" love playing dress-up in costumes and funny hats?"

John: Well not just offshore. Here's Smith College last year:

Incidentally, I note "Doctor Lal Balkaran" on the Irish faculty list. Lal was one of the first Canadians to earn the Heriot-Watt MBA, and he wrote 3 or 4 excellent books on the meaning and use of professional and academic credentials (http://www.lbapublications.com/). I've written to ask him what he thinks is going on.

I looked at the Chedro 7 site that anwo247 linked to. It appears to be a regional office of the Phillipine Commission on Higher Education. The entry for Irish University Business School shows that application is pending, and it does not seem to have government authority to award degrees.

I love John Bear, he was concerned about a matter and he said he has written a not to the man. More mature way of doing things than outright presumption and post on the internet. Randy, please write Chedro 7 and know that a newly registered school has to satisfy certain number of years before your registration will become total. This period of initial monitoring after first registration is rocorded as pending. They will be monitoring your lectures, the quality of your faculty member and so on. It is just like their own accreditation, if our definition do not vary here.

In any case it doesn't seem much necessary to be flogging this over and over. Time will surely tell on any thing. Test of time is still one of the best method. Hopefully we will all be alive and see what happens after now. Thanks and have a great time.

How long is this period? The school has been in operation for over thirteen years now, based out of at least four different countries in two different continents, and the Irish government has asked the school to change its name. Please excuse a bit of skepticism.

    Balkaran's response

Lal Balkaran, identified as "Doctor" and as a faculty member, writes, in part:

I have never received a doctorate from any of Wooller's colleges or universities.... Anyhow, now that you are the almost 100th person to bring this to my attention, I will write to Dr. Wooller about removing my name from his site.

Still not clear to me if he had thought Irish was OK, but now he doesn't . . . or if he was never on the faculty.
