    Hi--I, too, will take it.
    I hace an absolutely well-matched 200 pager
    to read in prep.
But I have to dig it out!
(I'll get back to you when I find it!...)

    --Good luck!

    Hello there--!

Finally dug up the book alluded to ealier.
    It's _Palestine and the Arab-Israeli Conflict_ by Charles D. Smith. 2/e 1992,
St. Martin's Press. Note: it's not on the list of recommended books, BUT it closely follows the outline in fairly economical length.

It's under 300 pages, but that includes chapter endnotes, too. At abe.com, a dozen copies can be had for less than $5.
Now I have not yet used it to prepare for the DANTES Modern Middle East, but I intend to do so for February or March!

    Good luck.
