    Good one... :) Everyone wants to believe in the academic unicorn, I just wonder if it exists and in large numbers, as other posters seem to be claiming.

    It doesn't seem to happen very often; that's the point in the previous postings, not why it is so hard to believe that it will happen. Belief in whether it can happen to a few individuals isn't the issue.

    By the way, equivocating on the word "specialization" doesn't actually bolster your original point that the MBA is a general degree, which it is often not necessarily perceived to be, at least in the last two decades.
