Has anyone taken the ICCP exams? They translate into credit for the CIS degree at Excelsior. I have some experience in IT and am planning to use BirdPublication study material to help prepare me. I would just like to get some opinions out there on doing this....
I've taken 8 of these so far with 1 to go for the Excelsior program. I've used the Bird Q&A drill software to get a feel for the test before taking them and I would estimate that the Q&A drills have added an average of 10% or so to my score for each test. I don't have any experience with their full study guides. Overall, the Q&A drills have helped more than the Excelsior recommended reading list which goes from quite helpful, to absolutely useless.
Thanks for the response, Jeff. I ordered the Q&A packages for Systems Programming and for Microcomputers & Networking. I am taking the exams the 2nd and 3rd week of November. The exams are priced reasonably. I'm crossing my fingers on the Systems Programming. I'm not too worried about the other.
