A few weeks ago, the Puerto Rican government conceded that more than 1,400 people may have died because of the hurricane, but they were still waiting for the results from a government-commissioned story. The results have been released, and the estimated death toll is now 2,975. It's not surprising since it took 11 months to fully restore power, and Puerto Rico did not receive the type of assistance typically received on the mainland. I just found it disheartening that some people on this forum thought that Puerto Rican families were lying.

We just began the 2018 hurricane season and with FEMA being a non-factor in these matters, there a lot of people crossing their fingers in hopes of an easy season.

For perspective, that's as many as were killed in the 9/11 attacks.

The same can be said about the uneducated and unskilled segment of the Trump cult that receives Obamacare and complains about not being able to find work

And then there's the far side of the Moon. And the sexual practices of Mongolian cobblers.

What's called Obamacare is imposed on the populace, most of which didn't want it.

You can't qualify for subsidies unless your income is low enough. That's why the idiots are for the "Affordable Care Act," but not "Obamacare." Poll after poll has shown that most people support what's in the act; they're just too dumb to know that it's Obamacare.

The photos from the Bahamas show remarkable destruction. My hope is the there is sufficient economic interest in the islands that they get rebuilt. I know that the Bahamas is a popular vacation destination and so there should be money behind the resort companies. I would think they'd be interested in rebuilding.
