I came across this advertisement today in a religious publication:

    "HONORARY DOCTORAL DEGREES

Awarded in recognition of your ministerial achievements. $50.00 application fee, $300.00 upon approval.

New Wine School of the Bible
    Shawnee, OK"

Wow! A $300 honorary doctorate. Is this oxymoronic, or what? While I personally think this creature called an "honorary doctorate" should be slain, I thought they were bestowed, not bought! [IMG]

Do you think that perhaps Moses could sign it? If you ask, I bet for an extra $50, they could make it happen. At least they say it is not the real thing!

King James' (ad)version: Wherefrom did'st thy new wine cometh...from on high or from upper New York State? How much did passeth thy lips before thy silver fell from thy hand?

Okay, not very authentic KJ English....

C'mon Russell! Do I have to tell you everything??? The honorary degree IS bestowed by these gracious institutions. The money is a donation for goodness sake.Isn't it the same thing if Donald Trump donates cash to Harvard and gets a piece of gilded toilet paper?

    With Best Wishes,
