As someone who is completely clueless on these matters, this comes off as rather odd to me. The school of arts and sciences has a business "club", separate from the business school, that offers a certificate that's supposed to be a miniturized version of a degree that the school doesn't even offer taught by professors from the business school.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. It's just that, between embedding a degree into a certificate by embedding teachers from one school into a summer program embedded into a club embedded into another school embedded into a university, referred to as an acronym embedded into an acronym... BRB, I need to go find a top to spin. :emoji_confounded:

    Dear Applicant,

Thank you for applying to our Mini-MBA program 2020. We received a large pool of competitive applicants this year and our intention to keep the sessions interactive, we had to unfortunately cap acceptances at 150 people. It was a difficult decision but unfortunately, we are unable to extend a spot to you at this point in time. However, given your strong interest in our program, we would like to offer you a place on our waitlist. Please note that while we cannot guarantee you a place, we will notify you the moment a spot opens up.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    HGBC Team

Dear applicants on our wait list,

    Hope you are doing well.

We had very few spots opened up after last week, and all those spots have been filled now. We had an overwhelming response in terms of applications this year, and had to restrict ourselves to a fixed number of acceptances. It was a difficult decision but unfortunately, we are unable to extend a spot to you at this point in time. However, we do acknowledge the strong interest in the program expressed by a lot of you. Hence, we have decided to share the course material with our waitlist. Kindly find below the HBS cases that will be used for the 11 sessions. You can purchase these cases from Harvard Business Publishing at your convenience.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We strongly encourage you to apply for our program next year.

    Sincerely,
    HGBC Team
