I just found this story... I thought you all might enjoy it. http://www.statesman.com/metrostate/content/gen/ap/TX_Elderly_Graduate.html
Wow! I wonder if she'll continue on with her education! If she does, she'll beat that old guy in the Bear's Guide story who finally finished his PhD in History at age 94!
Good for this lady, it just goes to show you its never to late to go back to school, for what ever reason. A major part of growing and moving forward in life, in my opnion, is too never stop learning!
How hard is it for a 90-year old to get a history degree? She didn't even have to read the books because she was there.
And to think she probably lived a significant (world changing) period of the time being discussed. Now that is bringing history to life! Congratulations!
Wow! I'm 48 and I get down about being over the hill and crochety....I'm embarassed. I looked at that SHSU program and it's seems pretty intense. I see this and this... http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20051209&content_id=1280246&vkey=pr_nym&fext=.jsp&c_id=nym and it motivates me to throw away the calendar and get my arse to work both in the gym and on the books. And if I can ever get my hops back I'm going to kick my 18 yr old in basketball!
