I'm looking for a low to moderately priced (read under $1000/course) statistics program, preferably a certificate program.

Here are some of the schools I have identified, but they are just too expensive:

    UT - Knoxville

    Rochester Institute of Technology

Colorado State U (This is a MS program, but I looked at it so I put it up here anyways.)

Any others?? Also, if you know of a residential program in southern California; I'll be willing to drive.

    University of South Carolina

I will add the University of South Carolina to the list for reasons of completeness and future searches.

USC does not meet your requirement of under $1,000/course but they do offer a Master of Science in Industrial Statistics and a Certificate of Graduate Study In Applied Statistics . The one problem I see is that the MS is definitely offered as a DL degree but the Certificate does not seem to be directly offered via DL. The Certificate is offered via their extended campus program. Interesting to note that the core courses of the Certificate are included in the MS program so it may be worth a call to see if USC offers the Certificate via DL.

The MS is offered as part of the SREB ’s Academic Common Market which means that if your reside in any of the 16 member states that you would pay in state tuition rates of $2,217.00 per course and not the $4,927.00 per course for out of state.

"University of New Hampshire graduate certificate is unique in the nation"

I just found this Certificate of Graduate Study in Industrial Statistics from the University of New Hampshire College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Three courses are required for completion of the certificate curriculum is located here. A good article on the program is located here. The best part is that the tuition is only $747.00 per 3-credit course for out of state students.

tmartca I think this could meet all of your criteria.

    Statistics.com offers courses with documentation
    http://www.statistics.com/content/courses.html
I have no knowledge of their credibility but might be worth looking into.

    Also:

Check out MITs courses available tuition free (but no official validation). But could be used to study for Royal statistical Society exams.
    http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html
[some of these courses look really tough]

The Royal Statistical Society offers a Graduate Diploma http://www.rss.org.uk/main.asp?page=1799
You may need to join the society and pay annual dues.
This society is very well regarded in the UK.

The American Society for Quality http://www.asq.org/portal/page?_pageid=33,32429,33_32570&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL offers certificates with heavy emphasis on statistics. Useful if you work in a manufacturing environment. CSUDH offers preparatory courses for these certificates. http://www.csudh.edu/msqa/msqacert.htm
