The GOP controlled Texas Legislature wants, it seems , for more women to die because a doctor might have to perform an abortion. That part is vicious but not exactly stupid. After Dobbs, some legal scholars think they can do stuff like this. I don't think so, but that's not the stupid part. The stupid part is that the bill strips the Texas Courts from hearing any challenges to the bill. Access to the Courts is a fundamental right. Mere legislation cannot deny residents that right. Even if the Texas Supreme Court accepts it, the federal system won't.
