Hi guys, I didn't know whether to put this in the MBA subforum or not. While this topic is about business, it is not necessarily about getting a business degree. Here is the deal. I am a techie. I love technology and have been working in it since I left college. The problem is that I have very limited business knowledge (aside from working as a freelancer for the past 5 years). I am considering embarking on a bit of self study to gain the core knowledge that a business major (minus his specialty) would have. To that end, I am considering taking CLEP exams to test that knowledge. Now, as I already have my bachelors, I don't NEED the CLEP exams for credit. However, I MIGHT need them if I decide to pick up one of those inexpensive MBAs at ENMU or ULM. My general curriculum would be something like this: CLEP Financial Accounting CLEP Principles of Management CLEP Principles of Marketing DSST Principles of Finance CLEP Business Law DSSTStatistics What do you guys think? IIRC, I think ryoder recommended doing something similar, and I would love to get his thoughts on it, as well.
