Wow, that's pretty cool, I wish I had an ereader too! Though if I got one I would've got a Kindle or a Kobo (sorta the Canadian version of the Nook). I could get them for my iPhone but I can't imagine trying to read a textbook on that o_O

    Awww.

"You must reside within the United States to receive this item. We currently do not support international, U.S. territory or APO/FPO billing addresses."

It seems like they require a credit card even though it's a free download, and they match the card to the address you enter. So this offer seems to be for US residents only. (I tried a couple different ebooks and got the same message.)

For anyone who took advantage of the last time they had this offer, I noticed that there are some books offered now that weren't available before. It's worth a second look-through. Hey, even if you don't see the direct need for the books, you might as well download them while they are still free!

I downloaded dozens of their books on my Ipod. Neither Apple nor Kaplan have my credit card number.

I'm glad some of you could use this. I'd be all over it too if I could put it on an ebook....still considering it since I'm holding an unused gift card :) I'll try and decide soon.

Yea, I could try to download them to my iPhone but I really have no interest in trying to read them on that device (I've downloaded free ebooks before in Amazon's Kindle app and have never been able to get very far in 'em). I was trying to use B&N's Nook app for Windows.

OMGosh! You rock, I just downloaded the Nook ap onto my computer and started shopping! It works! :) I also have an account, so if I ever do decide to buy a nook, I can simply log in to see my books. Somehow, I already had 5 books in my "account" and they already had my email- I'm 100% sure I have never downloaded an ebook before (except on Gutenberg)...so maybe everyone gets a freebie?

Free is free  While I find that reading an actual book is highly preferable to reading on my ipod, I also find that reading on my ipod is highly preferable to buying another device, and highly preferable to adding even MORE books to my work bag (I just weighed it for the purposes of this post... it weighs 15 pounds, and that is not including my lunch, which I also pack in it)

    Great post, thanks.

I have an aluratek libre pro and I like it a lot. I will put these ebooks on it and see how well it all works out.

Very nice of you to post! Is this only for Kaplan books? I don't go to Kaplan but I am still interested in reading and would love to get some free ebooks geared towards my major.

It has nothing to do with the Kaplan college, it's that these books were published by (or maybe sponsored by) Kaplan. They are for the general public. Enjoy!
