Franciscan University of Steubenville - DL M.A. in Theology

For those interested in a Catholic M.A. in Theology, the Franciscan University of Steubenville has a DL M.A. in Theology. Appears reasonable cost wise and of course the University itself is a well thought of institution.

This institution is Catholic and is not biblical

 

I should probably say that I'm rather fond of Franciscan University of Steubenville. By all accounts they are a good school (US News has them #22 out of 163 'Midwestern Regional' schools (schools that offer masters degrees but not a lot of doctorates). Their reputation is certainly good.

But Franciscan University of Steubenville's theology programs are aimed at Roman Catholics. A sola-scriptura Protestant fundamentalist might be happier at a different school.

 

One has to admire the brilliant blinding obviousness of the proclamation that Franciscan University is, in fact, Catholic. This has to rival best feats of Captain (Doctor?) Obvious himself.

So yeah, it may not be the place for a Protestant Sola Scriptura extremist. Of course, Sola Scriptura idolatry is, by itself, unbiblical.
