    That's weird that that's news, I expect plenty of lawyers are on the autism spectrum.

    It reminds me of the awesome Netflix show about a Korean attorney with autism, "Extraordinary Attorney Woo"

    That's because autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder, and those on the high functioning end of the spectrum (high and low functioning is considered offensive in the community, but these are the current clinical terms) can have average or above average cognitive scores. Since autism is not a visible disorder, and people on the high functioning end can go undiagnosed their entire lives, we don't know how many of our coworkers have autism spectrum disorder.

    Almost all individuals with Down syndrome are intellectually challenged. This attorney has mosaic Down syndrome, so her disability isn't as severe.
