    I have been looking at this school for some time. Ok, not really that long of time, but you know what i am saying. This is in regards to their Bachelors degree

    When I look at the school - here are the Pros/Cons that i see:

    Pros
    * Price
    * NA Accredited
    * will probably utilize my bible classes that i have accumulated
    * Wayne House teaches there (that can NOT be a bad thing)
    * they have 2 graduates teaching at respectable seminaries (Gordon and Covenant)

    Cons
    * Not RA accredited and all the issues that could rise from that.

    Use of the degree:
    1) Boss wants me to start working on my bachelors - will help me advance in my company. She said she doesn't care what the degree is in - just get it and do it as soon as possible.
    2) Future entrance into Seminary perhaps - if I am "led" in that way in the future
    3) Personal goal

    *Other things to take into consideration
    If the degree is in something business related - my employer will pay 5000 a year

    If i go other way - more school loans

    I have a total of 90ish credits. Mostly bible related with a couple of social work related classes thrown in for good measure.

    I am torn between trying to find a bible related degree that will utilize the majority of my courses AND going the business degree route and getting most if not all paid for.

    So, what do you think of the school? Should I start looking at more business programs? I search this site so much and go through all kinds of posts and have gleaned so much knowledge.....but I am hoping you guys can help me out on this one.

    peace - drew

    I don't see TRACS accreditation as being a major stumbling block to enrolling in a graduate program down the road, especially if you apply to another faith-based school (even one that is regionally accredited). Liberty University, for one, will accept credits and degrees from nationally accredited schools to satisfy the requirements for admission into their graduate programs.

    This isn't a bad looking program, but have you considered Liberty? They have very flexible credit transfer policies.

    My favorite TRACS school has always been Luther Rice University. http://www.lru.edu/
    Southwestern College at www.sckans.edu has a BS degree you may be interested in as well, however they are not a seminary. They have a BS in Pastoral Studies and are RA.

    However go where your heart takes you on this. If you like FES then stick with that, you are already familiar with some of their alumni and instructors. Besides, you can always go for an MBA or MDiv from Liberty later on if life takes you in either direction.
