    Hi,

I've never really considered Excelsior for a second BA in communications (as I want) but thanks to this forum I discovered that they accept graduate credits in their BA programs.

That's changes everything - with my MFA in Movie and TV plus some extra credits that I have from certificates, I could basically get a second BA in Communications: Media Studies very fast.

Now Excelsior is a good contender for CUNY, my first option (better name and reputation, but the Communication degree is not in Media Studies)

So, in the case I choose Excelsior, I would only need to do the communications classes requirements.

So, I'd like any suggestions about the fast/cheapest way to complete these credits:

    Lower credits:

    - Introduction to Communication
    - Interpersonal Communications
    - Public Speaking and the Art of Persuasion

    Upper:

    -Ethics and Communication
    - Fundamentals of Media Studies

    ANy help would be nice:)

I understand that for a second bachelor degree in communications at Excelsior you need 33 semester units (including 15 upper level) that have not been used for a previous degree. Also you must meet all the degree requirements.
    God luck with your plan.

The requirements for a second degree from Excelsior are listed on page 34 of the student policy manual.

Hi Ian, I know the requirements.

As I'll have all my credits in Motion Pictures & TV from my Master degree (they would apply as Communications Media Studies Electives) plus some extra credits from Graphic Design and Advertising certificate, I'd only need the communication classes that I've posted.

That's why I'm asking where could I get those credits in a affordable way.

SUNY offers a number of different online communications courses. Of course, the community colleges in the SUNY system are much less expensive than the four year colleges.

Also, check out Louisiana State University distance learning courses, which are about $200 for each course. You might also be able to enroll in individual Penn Foster College courses. Since they now offer BA degrees, they would have some of these upper-level courses. Take the DANTES speech exam. That's the cheapest college credit you'll get for that particular course.

Ian and TCord, thanks for the suggestions!

For some reason I totally forgot about this DSST exam! That's definitely the best route for this course.
