A friend of mine is starting out at excelsior and has 9 credits. I have not been able to discover if they accept clep exams so she can complete faster and less expensive than just taking excelsior classes. Any one have a clue? Thank you, Jeremy
You have 43 posts on this forum and don't know whether Excelsior accepts CLEP exams???? The answer is . . . . . of course they do!
Hi, Jeremy - welcome aboard. Try running a search using "Excelsior Credit" for the relevant threads. This link from Excelsior's web site also provides more detail on ways (i.e. CLEP, DANTES, ECE, etc) to earn credit. Many Excelsior students on this board - hopefully some will chime in. I wish your friend the best of luck. Dave
Absolutely, as well as DSST, ECE and TECEPs. A search on this forum will uncover many options. Also, Excelsior has published in the past (and probably still has) a document called "Guide to Earning Credit Via Examination" or something along these lines which will cover exactly what credits are accepted in each program. Your friend can also speak with her academic advisor. Cheers, Mark
Thanks for the feedback. She was told over the phone that there was a problem with CLEP exams. I think she was asking about clep english and she may have assumed that extended to all CLEP exams.
To my knowledge almost but not quite. Is there a degree that can be completed solely via CLEP and DANTES? I came close but needed at least 1 TECEP and a few ECEs.
