The following was originally posted by some guy named "Nobby" at http://www.tourocampus.com: Guys, Have any of you checked out the new Touro University International Student Interface? It is AWESOME ... you can do everything including: Check grades for completed classes ON ONE SCREEN View an unofficial transcript View your degree plan Update your contact and personal information View the status of an application Apply for a PHOTO ID CARD Review TA status and much, much more!! I urge all TUI students to check it out at https://sss.tourou.edu/index.php Thanks Touro--huge improvement!!! Nobby __________________________________________________ Well, I looked into it and "Nobby" is right. This is an outstanding upgrade. As a side note--why does the name "Nobby" sound so rude to me? 4Q out.
Hey! How did your post get on top of mine? Isn't the original post supposed to be the first one read, with all others positioned below?
I am happy to hear that Touro is stretching information technology to make life easier for Touro's students. This is definitely an awesome achievement for Touro. I also wish to add that Nova Southeastern University accomplished that feat five years ago. The Student Information System at Nova, which was implemented about five years ago, allows students to perform all the tasks that you outlined above (plus more). At present, students are required to register for courses only online. Ike Okonkwo, Ph.D.
Greetings. Pardon my lack of enthusiasm, but Touro University's "International Student Interface" hardly seems any more "AWESOME" than Technikon SA's (www.tsa.ac.za) Virtual "COOL" Campus (http://www.tsa.ac.za/cooldemo/welcome.htm). And TSA might just have fewer recourses that Touro (it certainly charges a heck of a lot less <g>). Cordially, Richard Kanarek
Both Universities I have attended offer these features plus more. I would hazard to guess more then 50% of all schools do. Any one remember standing in line for 3 hours to register for classes? Not any more!
Geez ... remind me NOT to tell you people when my kid finally takes his first steps. I don't want to be inundated with replies such as "big deal, other kids have been walking for years".
Gee, your kids not walking YET? I'm not surprised: what can you expect from a family whose patriarch thinks Touro's web site is "AWESOME". <g>
Ok lets get somethings straight here...most of these services offered by Touro's site were available for years already. The change happens to be that it now has a new, neater, friendlier format....so take it easy with the "my school already had that" stuff....stop hatin fool I got ur back 4Q!
