    EsqPhD multiple identities

Administrators, EsqPhD is also posting as B Liang. "Liang's" posts are typical offensive troll quality. EsqPhD somehow managed to mix up identities and posted the Liang post (in response to a post by John Wetsch in the thread "4 Week BA - Part 2" ) using his EsqPhD identity.

It seems his tactic was to announce his withdrawal from the thread, then immediately reappear in another guise, hurling abuse. Well, we all could do that, but where would it take us? This seems particularly cowardly given his original persona is an assumed identity anyway.

One wonders how many other multiple personalities are out there, given the apparent ease with which this character breached degreeinfo.com security.

Below is a my post from the thread "4 Week BA - Part 2 ", which may help explain the chain of events. The persona is that of Liang the alleged MIT guy (see thread) and this is a response, meant to be by Liang to John's post where John had spoken directly to liang. However, although the persona is clearly Laing's, and the response is to a post directed at Liang, and the author uses "I", the actual post was made by EsqPhD.

Well, well, well, this is too funny for words. EsqPhD used the wrong identity when posting this clap trap. The persona is that of B Liang, and should have been named such, EsqPhD screwed it up and posted as the wrong
identity. This can be verified by checking the posts of Liang in this thread. ROTFLMAO. Seldom have I witnessed such incompenence in a troll.

Administrators, doesn't this violate the degreeinfo TOS, never mind the abuse hurled at John?

Can some moron tell me what the hell giving out my B.S. in Chemistry has to do with this stupid Laurie Miller discussion?

Who the hell is going to check? Let me know so I can call the MIT Chemistry department to
    laugh at your stupid faces?

Yes, we know. We have taken appropriate action. In the future, please send all such messages to [email protected].

    Thank you.

How do you know in the light of their explanations that the same computer wasn't used in an office? What will it take to convince you--I don't think anything. You want to believe whatever you believe.

Is it your policy to cancel accounts without requesting an explanation or giving some sort of warning? Technically you can do that I know, but why not ask for an explanation from the member first or give a warning?

I recall perusing a few months ago and reading up on your fiasco of Peter French. You're really lenient on your own but move very swiftly on others.

I didn't care to respond back then but I look forward to having the opportunity to respond now.

Even if computer(s) in the same office were used, I think the evidence strongly indicates this person violated the TOS. I'm sure IP addresses were checked before judgement was rendered. In all fairness, we don't know if an explanation was offered or not, but I think it is unfair to assume the negative.

As far as the Peter French incident, I recall apologies (not one-liners either) being extended on this website. They were only trying to do the right thing. Hindsight is always 20/20 and it's sometimes better to have the guts to make a decision and do the wrong thing than to make no decision at all.

Lastly, running this site is a heck of a lot of work. I have designed and administered websites before and it's a full-time job. Somebody paid out of their own pocket to register this domain; I certainly don't recall receiving a bill for it or even a request for contributions. Moreover, the time contributed by these gentlemen should not go unnoticed. This website came about because of the demise of AED and they thought it was important to keep DE conversation flowing. I appreciate the personal sacrifices they make to keep this board going. The time they spend as administrators is time they could spend relaxing with friends and family. This is a free site and until it becomes a pay site, I'm not so sure that anybody has the right to complain.

Yes you know now, but this was written at 8:58 AM this morning, Tom. You are answering at 1:53 PM. You know, because of my posts Tom, else you would not know. Additionally, a message was sent to [email protected] but no action was taken. Now, I understand that, but if you have personal issues with me, take them to email at [email protected]. This public display of pique helps no one.
