Got an email from ECPI because I was interested in their Masters in Mechatronics degree...

I hope you are having a great day! I wanted to send you the recording from our open house this past Saturday. We kept the presentation under 20 minutes to really focus on some areas that make ECPI different from other universities and showed how our Hands on Simulation allow you to not only learn theory but real life application as you look to learn or grow in your career.

Please don’t hesitate to reply to this email with any questions as I’d be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have. Session 1 and 2 are below

Session 1:CIS, Engineering Technology, & Mechanical Programs -

I think this is advertising for them, in the forum - looks like a TOS violation, at least to me. The school should be paying you for this. At least a referral fee, if anyone from here bites. If you like the school, OK - comments and a link to their website should have been sufficient for the rest of us. :( That's MY take, anyway. What do moderators think?

Tough call. I've posted material here that was sent from schools I'd reached out, to make it more widely accessible. Not usually a copy and paste though.

Indeed. Usually just the facts, curriculum, course list, etc. Not a Youtube epic - or two.

This appears to include extended discussion of virtual instructional labs in engineering tech fields.

That is potentially of pedagogical, or sorry, Rich, andragogical, interest more than the average school promotional video.

Thanks Jonathan. Appreciate your view. OK. As Jonathan says, interest beyond the AVERAGE school promotional video. But I guess that's still what it is - a full-on school promotional video - an advertisement, although one with a potentially redeeming significance, perhaps. o_O

What, if anything, does the DI rule-book say about "Potentially redeeming significance?" Anyone? Mods?

I understand the question, but AsianStew has been here a long time and never suggested that s/he works for ECPI, and as Jonathan says, there's at least some independent value here, so I'll err on the benefit of the doubt.
