    hey

i read all of the interesting feedbacks on the Dantes...

Did anyone know that the registration fee has changed from 15.00 into 20.00?

and the same for the CLEP ....

also the exam fee has changed as well ....they are both 60.00 now....

Yes DSST exams are now $60. I'm told that testing fees depend on the testing center. The testing center I go to charges $20.

i can tell you this ..if you live in the chicagoland area, city colleges had told me they charge 20.00....

i have paid 15.00 at okaton community college for the clep exams....just a little comparison on the prices for tests from different schools.......

I just got back my results for Money & Banking and Drug & Alchol Abuse. Not Good! I scored a 46 on Drug & Alcohol (49 is passing) & a 46 on Money & banking (48 is passing). Crap! I'll have to wait 6 months to retest. This is my 2nd time failing Drug & Alcohol. I can't feel that bad, I didn't put very much time into either exam!

I think I want to try testing out of some of my requirements. About how many hours do people usually put into studying for these to pass? (assuming no prior knowledge of the subject)

Get The DSST guide, an easy read. Then start testing. Worked 4 me! Good Luck!

I think I need to start taking some CLEP exams to fill up the Arts & Sciences req at EC. What should I take? What should I study?

    Dantes

    HI there,
I'm really desperately looking for a book for Ethics in America.
Other than the preparation guide, is there no other book at all around there?
Did you all find that exam easy?
Is that essay question on the Dantes easy too?
I don't use instacert and usually use one good book, but I can't get started on this without book.

    Any help please?

I used only the DSST guide. I skipped the essay, it is optional! If i remember correctly, this exam is a gimme'. Good luck, let us know how it goes!

    Re: Dantes

I got a 70 on the exam without using any textbooks. I think I used the DSST official guide for test questions along with some free internet sources which someone posted on this site a long time ago.
If you're using these credits for Excelsior or any of the other big three then you won't need to do the essay question.

    Good luck!

I've taken Ethic in America yesterday and I really don't think I passed. Of course, I won't know for sure until I get the dreaded news in the mail. It's funny, when you study your butt off and do well on the Peterson test, you would think everything is ok. Well, I have you know, when I'd open that booklet my mind went blank. I couldn't for the life of me remember anything. That'd really freaked me out. I'm wondering, how can I get pass this blankness. This is the second times this has happened to me. Any suggestions?

Get plenty of sleep before the test. The day before the test I suggest you go out to a movie or do something to get your mind off the test. You blank out due to being stressed out about taking the test.
