MIS - I have decided to stick with the MIS track and my plan of action is take all the technical electives within this program which is mostly database, web development electives--the areas I am most interested in actually!

Accounting - I'm sticking with the accounting double major since its just a matter of a couple of classes and since every one says that the MIS/Accounting combo is in demand now. I was going to double major in Marketing with hopes of being involved with Marketing Information Systems but I can't find any information on if the MIS/Marketing combo is a good one or not.

Computer Science - I decided on the CS minor because it covers programming something I am interested in and i believe the classes will open the door for some of the IT career paths: Software Architect, Systems Architect, and Database Modeler. The classes consist of Algorithms, Java, C++, Computer Architecture and Assembly Language, Data Structures, Operating Systems, and a choice between one of these classes: Programming Languages or Algorithms, and a choice of a 400 level class: Distributed Systems, Software Engineering, Database Systems,

and acquire some certs like: CCNA, CISA, PMP

I don't want to be one of those MIS majors with no technical skill, so what do you guys think?

Accounting / MIS double major sounds good. Honestly don't know how relevant a CS minor will be if you end up shopping for development jobs, given the number of those with CS / SW Engineering majors. The CCNA would be doable with a little study, CISA and PMP require years of verifiable related experience as a pre-req. Otherwise sounds like a plan.

Well I figured the CS minor could help me get into one of the Architect professions like systems architect, software architect, and so.
