Does anyone know if TESC accepts Ashworth College credits? I searched the forums and couldn't find information on it.

The transfer credits from Ashworth College must be ACE reviewed since the school is NA and not a candidate for RA status. Southwestern College of Winfield, KS, accepts undergraduate NA credits to transfer into their undergraduate degree programmes.

ACE reviewed? But doesn't the school have to do that for themselves? That's not something a student can have done is it?

    Maybe I'm missing something...?

ACE has a list of pre-approved courses from Ashworth College. Consult the ACE web site.

Yeah, I actually did that. But, I couldn't find anything on Ashworth College.

    Do you have a link?

TESC does not accept Ashworth credits.

Ashworth's courses are not ACE reviewed. At Penn Foster, most of the courses are ACE reviewed.

I would've gone with Penn Foster, except they didn't have a Psychology program which is what I was looking for at the time.

There are enough schools that accept Ashworth credits, despite all of the rhetoric we hear. A number of those schools have really good reputations. I know American Public takes them. Heck, most of the courses in my Ashworth Psych program match some of APU's Associates programs very well.

Ashworth is getting better, and they are taking some new steps to improve, especially with their call back system. What they NEED to do though, is make sure they staff more people who can grade written assignments in a more timely fashion. The timetable right now is ridiculous.

I've heard that the quality of Ashworth's program is fine, but most RA schools won't accept them because they are nationally accredited and non-ACE reviewed. Ridiculous, I know, but true. There are some good RA schools that will accept the credit, like Liberty University, AMU/APU, and Bellevue University. I think UoP and Kaplan also take them, but they are REALLY expensive.

Yeah, I had forgotten that AMU/APU accepted NA credits regardless of whether the courses have been ACE approved/reviewed. You could earn an AA General Studies (RA) from AMU/APU and then apply to any RA school having the BA/BS degree you seek. Or just earn a BA at AMU/APU as they are an NA and RA institution. Either way, you have options; how you choose to exercise those options is up to you. Good luck!
