I applied to Charter Oak about 1.5+ months ago, and got accepted. I sent in all my transcripts. They were reviewing them, then suggested a week or two ago that we do an advising call. I haven't heard back. I know the answer is "ask them" but I haven't heard back from them in a week or two, so I'm just wondering if they're usually rather slow in general or if there's something about my credits that are a problem. I have over 220+ total college credits, but not degree. Is Charter Oak usually a bit slow?
It's more that they're slow to reply and tell me my next steps when I was admitted over a month ago. What are other people's experiences with COSC in terms of processing time?
They are very slow, it took 6 months for me a few years ago...haha... I didn't go with COSC because of a few reasons and that was one of them, they're nice and all, but very restrictive now with the transfer of credits, no more NCCRS and only a handful of ACE providers. If you're going for a BSGS with a concentration or a BSBA, they're pretty good, maybe even a major in one of their offerings, other than that... UMPI might be a better option, it depends how fast you can finish your CBE, cost is about the same if you can finish within 2 terms.
Glad it's not just me thinking they're slow. Now Charter Oak wants AP test scores from 20 years ago just to review my transfer credit options. Normal, but they're requesting those so late that, even if I request AP scores now, I would miss the Aug. 23 school term at Charter Oak. I'll have to look at UMPI.
LOL, skip them. Get that BOG AAS and go for Excelsior or UMPI. Excelsior might be the better bet if you have so many credits already... UMPI, you need to take 30 credits from them!
