As I am working through my Master Science in Science Education degree from Montana State University...I have been thinking about a Ph.D. of somesort (down the line). I have been searching through many college websites and their faculty and have noticed that a lot of instructors have cetainly doctorate level degrees. One thing I notice a lot of is in the Mathematics field, many instructors have a Ph.D., Mathematics Education... Well I am curious if there is such a degree like Ph.D. in Science Education? Especially in a semi-distance learning format? I am not to keen on just getting a Ph.D. in Education, or Instruction & Developement, etc... I would like to focus on the Science element of my career and teaching, and see if there is a Science Education Ph.D. out there? Any information ? Thanks Jay
I don't know if you live near DC, but George Mason University has a DS in Higher Education, as well as Georgetown. Both are offered on weekends and at night.
