DL master's degree - without Dissertation

    Hey guys...

    was jus wondering if any reputed university offers Masters degree in Management / Finance via DL and doesnt require Dissertation?? or waives dissertation...

    Any Info is most welcome!

    A dissertation is a requirement of a doctoral program. A thesis is required for some masters programs. There are plenty of masters degrees out there that do not require a thesis. If you have a few schools in mind, take a look at their websites and it usually lays out the degree requirements.

    Is this a legit, accredited doctorate without a dissertation?

    He's looking for a Master's not a doctorate. Outside of the US, a Master's thesis is commonly called a dissertation.

    That said, the doctoral question came up on another forum and the posters there did seem to have knowledge of "practitioner's" doctorates that didn't require a dissertation. Yes, that was an idea that blew my mind, however I didn't research the topic any further.

    Yes, I see that now. My bad. Even a master's without a thesis seems a little lightweight to me.


    MC, isn't it a little sad that we are sitting here posting on a BB on a Saturday night? :) Anyone have a life I could borrow?

    My life knows no calendar. Saturday night could be a stay-in night, while Wednesday night could be a go-out night. Anyway, since I post primarily from a phone, I very well could be at a wild party or skydiving or resting in between dancing salsa with some quite attractive young female or skiing or snorkling or ironing my clothes for tomorrow morning and getting ready for bed. :D

    Skydiving with an attractive young lady? Wow! I'm sitting at my table, eating cookies and typing on the computer while my wife sleeps. Wild times here! And I never iron my clothes.

    Well, I admit that I'm not skydiving. Statistically, it is nowhere near as safe as they want you to believe it is. Dancing with attractive young women, however, is a neat little pass-time of mine (ironed shirt required) ;)

    UMass Lowell has a finance MBA with no thesis required, and they're not pricey at all IMO.
