You can check out Colorado Community Colleges online: http://www.ccconline.org/index.htm I took physical geology during the summer and it was great.
New Mexico has some cost effective programs. goto http://www.clovis.cc.nm.us/FinancialInfoAid/TuitionFees/index.asp this is the fee list for Clovis Community College Looks pretty cheap to me. If I did my math correctly, then if you took 15 Semester Hours the tuition would be $680 (for non-residents) plus $45 per course DL fee. Total cost $905 for a full load. 18 hours would only be $45 more. Not too bad. Residents are even cheaper. Knock off $300-350 from the above price. clint
I have actually never taken a class with them. Some of my friends here are planning on starting with them in the spring semester. I do think the school is fairly good at communication, though, so if you emailed them I am sure they would answer your questions. clint
A favorite around these parts in the past has been Oregon's Chemeketa Community College. Quite reasonable tuition for in-state and out-of-state students. Tom Nixon
At one point they were indeed reasonable. Unfortunately they raised their rates at least a year ago. It would seem there are more affordable options now. Oregon Students: $56 per credit plus $4 per credit Universal Fee Out-of-State Students: $192 per credit plus $4 per credit Universal Fee
I am currently enroll in a class through Three Rivers Community College in CT. I am out of state and paid only 325 for a 3 hr credit class. This is my 1st class there and I must say I am pretty impress for the cost and the setup of the class. My finance class offers me online videos of the instructor teaching that I can watch anytime I want, practice quizs, and other materials to study with. There is no out of state tution you pay the same as instate student, I think all of the community colleges are setup this way for CT.
I know that is has been mentioned in the forums before but www.gvtc.org (organization of Technical schools in Georgia) offers courses for 'in-state' students for $26 per quarter credit hour(double that for out of state). $260 for a 3.3sh equivalent course is very reasonable. You do have to do your research though. Some of the schools require on campus exams, but many do not. Many of the schools require no "contact" at all.
California?? Off the top of their head, does anyone know of a California Community College that offers DL classes? I'm a CA resident, so I can get in-state tuition of $18/cr. hr. I would much prefer to go that route for general ed than out-of-state somewhere else. Etienne _______________ Leave me a message, And I'll get back to you When I feel like it.
