I am looking for a Ph.D. in History that can be done online. Any suggestions are welcome (Great Britain, Canada, South Africa, .... anywhere). I need a PhD, unfortunately I know I will be unable to comply with the residency requirements that most universites here in the U.S. require.

Online/Distance based PhD in History I've heard rumors that many schools in the UK offer distance based PhD(s) in History. Can you suggest a few programs? I too am looking but am having difficulty in complying with t he residency requirements. Any help is appreciated.
