Hello, I hope everyone is having a peaceful day off. I, like my husband work in a high school substitute teaching. I am running into several college bound seniors every week who are interested in dl. I have directed them to Lawrie site. If there is anything I can hand out for them to read I would appreciate it. I lend my Bears' Guides out and encourage them to look at the web site for TESC. It is located 20 minutes from the high school and has nice buildings which seem to assure younger students. Thanks for all past and future advice. Hille - Perhaps the dl moderators could publish something in their spare time.

Although it can benefit anyone, I do think DL is a better choice for adults with several years work experience.

However, I think one of the best things for HS seniors is to take some CLEP/DANTES exams. Some exams (Freshman Comp) will be accepted by just about any school, and this will cut down on the cost & time of a residential program, should they decide to go with that.

I seem to remember TESC sending me a brochure to the effect that they were actively seeking community college graduates who wanted to finish a bachelor's degree; this suggests that they may actively be seeking younger students, which is a welcome policy as far as I'm concerned.

Please keep up the good work!

    Cheers,

Good Morning Bruce, I am checking out TESC for post graduate high school admission and will post the answer. I know I read something about their academic relationship with homeschoolers but can't currently find it. Have a peaceful day. Hille

Hello. Hope all have had a good day. I received an e-mail from TESC confirming they had an age limit of 21 for admission. My daughter graduated at 21 from TESC so this has me curious. I realize TESC is growing at a rapid rate but this age rule bothers me. I will update the board as I find out more. Have a great Wednesday. Hille
