I believe the clip is in error when they said "the first commercial text message was sent in 1992". Maybe this is true for the Internet but I was communicating via computer text messages in the early 80s. I believe we used 'telex' -- it was much lower cost than phone calls/fax to foreign countries. I remember Xerox telecopiers in the 70s - 4 minutes per page or 6 minutes per page for higher resolution - and what a great asset they were to business.
