The next step is not being able to drive cars in the vicinity of ICE. The step after that is don't go outside at all. Unfortunately we are already at that point. As I've already mentioned, my wife and her sister avoid going outside when they can because ICE has them terrified. Just yesterday I had to go to the store with my wife because she didn't want to go alone. This is wrong for American citizens to fear for their safety so much that they avoid going outside. It is far worse in Minneapolis. I've heard many reports about people there being afraid of going out into their own community. And like my wife and her sister, many of those afraid to go outside are American citizens.

You're not welcome in Trump's America unless you're white and even then if you didn't vote for Trump you're still in danger. Minneapolis didn't vote for Trump. Therefore they must suffer Trump's retribution.

These thugs need to be held accountable. Unfortunately that isn't going to happen with the current administration. Hopefully we get a Democratic President in 2028 so the statute of limitations doesn't run out before they can be brought to justice.

Anyone who still supports the current administration is deeply disturbed. Period. There is no defending it. This isn't Democrat vs Republican anymore. It's good vs evil. Democracy vs Dictatorship. If you don't see it, you're either blind or part of the problem.

I completely agree although I suspect that the 30% or so that support the current administration's immigration policies are mostly uninformed folks that either don't ever listen to the news or when they do it's just Fox or Newsmax type sources that lie to their viewers.

Yes, and this is them trying to DEESCALATE situation. For example, from everything that I've read, Adrian Conejo Arias (father of that 5-year-old they used as bait) had no criminal nexus whatsoever; moreover, he actually entered the country legally, to seek asylum! The fact J. D. Vance branded people who used CBP One app to get appointment to get vetted and admitted at legal port of entry "illegal aliens" should have disqualified their whole ticket from office then and there, as lawless. The fact DHS still says that guy, and thousands like him, are "in the country illegally" is not factual and is, in fact, inflammatory political speech. Someone convince me that them referring to ICE and CBP actions as "law enforcement" and agents as LEOs is not, likewise, fact-free political posturing.

The sad part of this story is that Kristi Noem just announced that they are going after this family. Flagrant retribution for being sympathetic to people when in the news. On top of that the detention centers are full of people exactly like them. In the country legally but committing the sin that can't be forgiven by this administration, that is not being white.

And yet if I start referring to these centers as "concentration camps", I will be deemed a problem. Sigh.

Sorry that doesn't really make sense to me. I'm grasping at straws here, so, I apologize in advance for that. There was a thread you posted in a week or two ago. You mentioned someone in your post that had not posted in the thread. It didn't really seem like a derogatory reference to me but I guess it could have been interpreted that way? Anyway the thread was closed for reasons that were not clear to me. I don't know if that is the incident that you were referring to or not though? If so my guess is the moderator might have interpreted your reference to someone else that had not posted as being derogatory. Not having to do with concentration camps.

I presume Stanislav means not on this forum, but by the Trump administration and/or at the university where he works. After all, I've referred to Trump's Florida-based concentration camp as "Alligator Auschwitz" and his street-level goon squad as a latter-day Shutzstaffel, and as you can see I didn't ban myself.

The funny thing is that I've only come to using such references to describe this administration recently, because I didn't want to come across as theatrical. Such references have long been speciously overused, and Godwin's Law exists for good reason. But Trump's hangers-on are clearly determined to earn that most unflattering of comparisons, so fine, who the jackboot fits, let them wear it.
