DETC meeting Jan 11th

    Hi

    I've been checking DETC site and the other 3 applicants daily - Trinity, ACESA and U. Fairfax. Checked 2 minutes before post. Silence all round. I'm betting that Abraham Lincoln U. is the only newly-accredited DETC school this time around. I think any others would be flying their new colours by now. We'll soon see...

    I like the fact that ACESA is already CAAHEP accredited. That allows the graduate to get a NCCA approved national credential as a Certified First Assistant.
    Accredited Certification Programs

    The DETC accreditation may give students a little more utility by offering an associates degree but certainly not necessary.

    Very impressive curriculum for only $2550!

    The report from the DETC Jan 11 2011 meeting is now online:

    Only one new institution gained accreditation:
    Abraham Lincoln University Online Law school at Abraham Lincoln University.

    One was denied:
    American Center for Excellence in Surgical Assisting

    Three resigned DETC accreditation:
    IMPAC University
    John Tracy Clinic, Los Angeles
    Lansbridge University

    No mention whatsoever of Nations University. :( The only two current applicants listed in the report and on the website are:
    Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary, Newburgh, IN
    University of Fairfax, Vienna, VA

    Lansbridge University was ordered closed.
