I don't know what post you are referring to, but the last I heard of Des Elms, he was in the hospital on the verge of death.

Whatever he posted, get over it. It's just a damn message board.

And, before you start...I'm a veteran also, so I know what you're talking about. But remember, you fought so people like Des Elms can have the freedom to say whatever is on their mind...whether you agree with what they have to say or not.

I happen to be one of the countless others you mention.. I have and are continuing to make their "freedoms" possible, we ALL are- . Been there - done that, have the T. ARMY: 91W, 31B

I am sure there are a few others here that have been over there as well.

On the other hand, being there does not give you or anyone of US in the military the right to disparage others on the grounds being deployed. We all enlisted because we wanted to, no one forced us.

Trying to make him feel "guilty" because of Iraq, not cool and it will not work (usually) ;)

If you don't like what he said just tell him. It's pretty simple

    Good luck.

This from another veteran (currently serving), 20 year Senior NCO (Air Force), "been there" in the sandbox several times myself between the current dust-up and previous excursions for Northern and Southern Watch.

Next time post a link to whatever it was you were responding to, or at least quote it in context.....I'm sure most people were like me, scratching their heads. Capitalization isn't that hard either.

The thread he was responding to was from early 2005!! I had to look at all his posts to find them. Since he only had 6 or 7 it was easy to locate..

After reading THIS thread I still don't really understand what he was talking about though:confused:

FRiome his early threads: All I saw was that he asked the same question 4 times in different posts. That urked his target from this thread (IMHO) that is. A few comments (not bad) were made about the multiple posts.. (made him upset??)

He wanted a degree without taking any classes whatsoever. He just wanted to use military credit for the entire degree. You and I both know everyone still needs the General Ed classes to get an RA degree- even us military folk.

The RA schools are good to us, BUT NOT THAT GOOD! :D

The guy appears to be sick. So the gentleman thing to do is to wait until he recovers. That would be more elegant.

Or perhaps, he didn't realize that a relatively small number of folk frequent these boards and provide the lions' share of the info and so didn't recognize that posting to different threads would not reach different folk.

    A message for greenguy.

    Welcome back.

If I am reading your post correctly you asked some questions of the forum and did not recieve what you felt to be a considered response.

I suspect the question is still unanswerd or you would not be here so please post it one more time. Perhaps the members can help you in your quest.

I do suggest you park the attitude and listen carefully to the responses. If you are truly seeking advise rather than conformation of your opinion this is a good place to play.

Actually it was answered 4 times! He is not getting the answers that he "wants" to hear and that's about it-

He never replies to the threads he starts anyway, so forget it.

    Dude,

I did three years in the Army and nine plus in the Marine Corps. Did Southern Watch, Gitmo, and a year in Iraq.

The American taxpayers are who the military serves and, for their part, they have supported the troops very well in all respects.

You don't get respect by trying to take it away from someone else. Respect has to be earned, not assumed or demanded.

    Get off your high horse.
