  1. Does anyone know what is going on with Dennis Chandler right now? It would be interesting for someone (oh let's say galanga) to contact him to find out whether he still believes his St. Regis Degree and his professorship with them is real. As I recall Dennis had a CNN appearance vis-a-vis Professor George Gollin, where "Dr." Chandler attempted to defend his "institution". He also had many interesting articles on his web site about how well he was being received now as a "music educator" since he had his "PhD"......

My impressions of Dennis were that he was pretty naiive, and wound up believing his own dreams, convincing himself that he really WAS a professor (damn it!) and that Saint Regis was a legitimate alternative for someone like him with lots of experience and talent, but no time to take a more traditional (and acceptable) educational track. Too bad the rest of the world doesn't agree with Dennis' outlook.

Anyway, it would be interesting to know what became of this sad sack. I rank him Sack #2 after Bob Stefaniak as Sack #1.

  3. Weird..... Now the disappearance of an entire academic degree (a doctorate no less!) from someone's marketing web site just has to raise a few eyebrows somewhere, doesn't it? Here today! Gone tomorrow! What a nutcase this guy is.....

If these people simply redirected their time and effort, they could have earned real degrees by now.

The guy seems pretty accomplished (chandler), why cover it up with a bunch of fake degrees?

I understand wanting to impress your peers, I have fought with that issue all my life (self worth, etc), but never to the point of fraud.
