I know studying tax/taxation has been discussed in the past, but I can’t seem to find the discussion thread which talks about different tax schools. I know Taft offers the MST. But I seem to remember there was a school with Washington in the school name that offered degrees in tax. Anyone have recommendations ??? Thanks!
University of Washington, Foster Business School - M.S. in Taxation. Here: https://foster.uw.edu/academics/degree-programs/master-science-taxation/ @Sacricolist Is this the one you meant?
Or was it perhaps the Washington School of Law - in this thread. https://www.degreeinfo.com/index.php?threads/info-request-dl-m-s-in-taxation-any-suggestions.19462/#post-193160
I have my Masters of Science in Taxation from Florida Atlantic University. I graduated back in 2019. It is a two and a half year program as there are no classes during the Spring to help alleviate your time during tax season. They are AACSB accredited and total program cost was 25,000. Amazing program, can be completed completely remote or on campus. I would check them out! Let me know if you have questions.
I did my LLM Tax through Taft. It's a good program but I'd be slow to recommend it to anyone who isn't a CPA or Enrolled Agent. The school actually asks in the application process and they are right to do so.
I think FAU says that their graduates are eligible to take the CPA exam and are well equipped to take the EA exam. That's a good thing.
