    Hi Everyone

I'm currently within 30 hours of finishing my undergraduate degree of Management/Marketing at Park University. I work in the public sector as an accounting analyst but I wish to branch away from accounting. I'm researching various DL MBA programs early so I can take any prerequisites or admittance tests. I am interested in HR and Public Management concentrations but have not made a final decision on which one to pick. I have weeded through various DL MBA program schools and pared down my list to the following:

    University of Findlay
    TUI
    NCU

I'd like to hear positive or negative student experiences on these schools. What were to courses like? Which of these have the best ranking or most rigorous program? I'm hesitant to consider TUI because there are no textbooks and NCU seems to be more of a relative newcomer.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    NCU - MBA Program

    Hi trishbee,

I am a current MBA student (learner) at Northcentral University.

My experience has been excellent. The coursework is demanding but if you follow the syllabus and stay on schedule it is fun.

You are assigned an academic advisor and a learner affairs counselor to work with you. They will help you with issues and course selection.

When you are enrolled in a course, you are assigned a mentor. You get one-on-one mentoring and can contact fellow learners that are posted in the course forum. There is a new requirement that learners weekly submit an assignment, contact their mentor or post in class discussions.

You work at your own speed and enjoy the one-on-one contact with your mentor. I would be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have.

There are other excellent alternatives, but NCU is worth consideration. They are also regionally accredited by the NCA.

My experience with NCU has been first rate.

    NCU Mentors

    Hi C.

Thanks for your input on NCU. Is your mentor also the instructor of the course you're taking or are you assigned a mentor for each course? The NCU mentoring program intrigues me. Thanks again.

    Hi Trish,

For each course taken you are assigned a mentor. The mentor is your instructor. You can call and e-mail them anytime.

I have never had a problem getting a timely response from a mentor. NCU has a policy in place where the mentors have a seven day turn around from when you submit assignments to receiving your grade.

Your mentor grades your work and provides feedback and assistance. Learner affairs assists with issues not related to your course - more administrative. Your academic advisor works with you on your degree plan and approves your courses as you go along.

There is an excellent support system in place.
