Power Unleashed: No Wires, No Limits.
DARPA has achieved a record-breaking feat in wireless power: beaming over 800 watts of energy across 5.3 miles (8.6 km) using lasers.
This June 2025 test in New Mexico, part of their POWER program, lasted 30 seconds and delivered over 1 megajoule, shattering previous records.
    This success proves that long-range,
high-volume energy beaming is now possible using a powerful laser and a specialized receiver. It marks a significant leap in transmitting power without physical connections.
The implications are vast: imagine drones charging mid-air, military bases running without fuel, and remote areas gaining power without traditional grids. This technology could revolutionize military logistics and disaster response, bringing wireless energy from science fiction to reality.
How do you envision this wireless power
    technology impacting everyday life?

Okay, that's actually a pretty good beginning. If we get to the point where we can microwave power from orbital solar collectors to receiving stations on Earth, that would be really neat.
