More and more Texas community colleges will offer bachelor's degrees. Houston Community College offers two at this moment and expect more in the future

More community colleges are now offering bachelor’s degrees, making higher education more affordable and accessible.
This is especially beneficial in fields like healthcare, IT, and education, etc, where workforce demand is high.

However, in these early stages, some students may still prefer degrees from more widely recognized institutions until community colleges establish strong reputations for their bachelor's programs.
That said, well-regarded community colleges—like our own CUNY KCC - usually rates 4 out of 5, known for its high transfer rates to top universities—are well-positioned to build credibility quickly.

On another note, I wonder how up-to-date their software development curriculum is, given the rapid evolution of AI. With AI reshaping developer skill sets, keeping coursework relevant is more crucial than ever.

What are your thoughts? Would you consider a bachelor’s degree from a community college?
And how do you see AI affecting software development education, are the colleges like Dallas college keeping up with the changing landscape in skills of a software developer?
