Creighton Online MSAPM (CFA)

There have been requests for graduate programs designed around the curriculum for the CFA exams. I found the AACSB accredited MSAPM (Masters of Securities Analysis and Portfolio Management) at Creighton University.

They also have an online Masters in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution.

Not sure about the tuition, but residential tuition is $625/hr + various fees.

 

Perhaps someone could enlighten me, but what is the point of pursuing a distance degree designed around the CFA curriculum? The CFA curriculum is already a self study program. An advantage may be interaction with the instructor and students but a similar experience could be achieved through CFA discussion boards or by forming a study group. Also, I suppose there is an advantage to receiving the degree itself, but if you are seeking to make a career change into a front office position you will probably need a top 20 MBA perhaps even top five. If you are already in such a position the CFA will help you move up the ladder quicker than an MSAPM.
