So, which academic institution awards the degree?

Looks like they don't know yet. My take: Maybe they put out some feelers and nobody bit. Not a good look for them, if that's how it went.

Yeah, it seems like they can't make up their mind... which price, school they go with may determine the outcome...

I'll sign up, if MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia, Oxford, and Cambridge are the academic institution. hahahah

I know a guy in Costa Rica. Says he can get you one of those. All seven names. One diploma. He does 'em all the time... he says. I've been waiting 6 months... :(

Reminds me of this exchange from Community:

Jeff: Uh, I am in a bit of a jam. The state Bar has suspended my license. They found out my college degree was less than legitimate.
Professor Duncan: I thought you had a Bachelor's from Columbia?
Jeff: And now I have to get one from America. And it can't be an e-mail attachment.

Community was a masterpiece! I almost never watch TV comedies, but it totally sucked me in.

Professor Duncan: No? That's pretty strict. Say, what about a CREDLY badge, instead? :)

I thought in some fields the University of London was well respected. For instance, their LLB is notoriously difficult (with many dropping out or not making it).

My ex did an LLB through Nottingham Trent University, and apparently the UK approach was to let just about anyone in, but then sift them out. They seemed to think that nothing was amiss when 10% of those who enrolled would see it through and make it to the end.

Reminds me of the Carribbean med school model where you have to earn your place to graduate, compared to the US model where you have to earn your way through the door.

Yikes. That was my impression from a couple of things I read about the Univ of London LLB. Many hopefuls but few make it. What you and Dustin mentioned was also a criticism a Canadian I know made of their system. The general Arts and Sciences program admitted people and then weeded them out. She was a biology 101 student and told me that half her class was failing and the professor told them that was okay as this weeded out people who thought they were going to become biology majors.

Well, I can't speak to other schools in the region, but I know that Ross University had a hell of a lot better success rate than my ex's law school.

On the other hand, Ross also cost a lot more, so perhaps there's more incentive for students not to give up?
