From what I can see the only CLEP/DANTES/ECE exam COSC will accept is Research Methods in Psychology. I really dont want to take this for for my Associates so I'm looking for a cheap/fast alternative. Any advice ?
Whatchu talkin bout, Willis? Here is a complete list of standardized tests accepted by cosc. There are also many ACE credit opportunities there. Good Luck. http://www.cosc.edu/Advising/StandardizedExams.cfm
here is one of the COSC courses that meet the requirement- http://www.ctdlc.org/courseoffer/detail.cfm?cid=2978&sr=1 Personally, I decided to just take the ECE exam. If I would have failed the exam, I would have taken a COSC class to meet the requirement because the Research section is such a strange one and I wanted to be sure that the class I took would meet the requirement.
Addendum additionally, if you can show that you were writing research papers for the class and you have evidence of the same, from what my cosc advisors have said, they will consider this as well for your research credit. I apologize for my reply, I thought you were asking generally when, apparently, you were only interested in the research credits. Good luck! Dan B
I was able to provide COSC with syllabi from my two psych classes that both clearly showed we had a research paper required in both classes. They took that for the credit. Will that work for you?
