Also, anecdotally from posts elsewhere, they (Southern Utah) are supposedly very generous with transferring other undergraduate credits earned elsewhere.

 

My child enrolled in the Speedway BS in General Studies at SUU. They accepted his associate degree and his Frederick Community College FEMA coursework. Oddly, they did not accept all of his AP courses but did accept CLEP. 30 credits taken from SUU required (online okay). 40 credits needed upper level. A one-credit strategy course is taken at the beginning and a 1 credit capstone course at completion. 10 upper level in a "general track" is needed. I personally recommend taking 10 in one area like English, History, or Political Science to have the appearance of an "emphasis." Thanks, DI posters for the link to Speedway SUU.

I went to pay for my son's SUU Speedway tuition today with his 529 College Savings plan and to my dismay, the savings have plummeted in value. Very sad but thanks to you guys recommending the SUU Speedway with its affordable tuition, my son can finish his bachelor's degree.

Correction, 30 upper-level credits are required.

 

We talked to SUU and asked about graduate-level credits being applied to the BGS. They said if the credits are posted on an undergraduate transcript, they may consider them for upper-level credits toward the BGS but not on a graduate transcript. The upper-level credits needed are still 40 in total with 20 UL taken at SUU and 30 credits minimum SUU credits.
