Indeed, the North Koreans' is a sorry lot. But that's what makes it so interesting that your Dear Leader Trump publicly disdains democratically elected heads of government in Europe, yet is visibly quite at home with figures like Duterte, Erdoğan, and Putin who have turned their countries' democratic systems into authoritarian ones.

Birds of a feather truly do flock together.

I agree, but that doesn't mean that all or even most people who support Trump are like this. On this forum, Trump has many advocates, but it's clear that me again is the only Kool-Aid drinker, such as you describe.

SteveFoerster, you are parroting the MSM script.

President Donald Trump is a master negotiator and the long-term deals that will be negotiated will be good for the United States.

Has Stanislav EVER said anything positive about Trump, his policies or his voters?

    Have you?

So why is Me Again's being one-sidedly positive about Trump supposedly cultish and totalitarian, while you guys being one-sidedly hostile and insulting isn't?

Can you justify the deck being stacked in your favor like that?

    Neighing Naysayers

    Haaaaaaa OMG

    First prognostication:
Naysayers said Donald Trump would not be elected president. He is now elected. Naysayers are now neighing uncontrollably and ear plugs are required to:
    - reduce noise pollution
    - prevent deafness

    Second prognostication:
President Donald Trump will be reelected to serve a second term, for a total of eight full years.

    Third prognostication:
Stay tuned. Loud neighing is to follow:

That's a gratuitous insult. I wish you guys wouldn't do that.

I don't think that's accurate. He disagrees with some of them, just as some of them disagree with him. Why is the former supposedly wrong but not the latter?

It probably needs to be remembered that whatever disagreements the US and European leaders have exist in the context of much larger agreements, such as NATO, a host of shared history and values, and important trade ties.

He's willing to try to cooperate with them, just as Obama and all the Europeans tripped over each other rushing to suck up to the Chinese leadership. Why? Because they think that trade and international cooperation with the rising Chinese super-power is in their interest. Hillary presented the Russian foreign minister with her mislabeled 'reset' button (imagining that the souring of US/Russian relations was Bush's fault and that Obama's election would fix it). The meaning was clear. I'm still not sure why the media wet themselves with such joy when Obama embraced communist/totalitarian Cuba, but they did. That one was purely symbolic, I think.

Trump certainly hasn't gone out of his way to please Erdogan. He has approved far closer US military coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces who are absolute anathema to Ankara. The SDF launched their long awaited attack on the Islamic State capital of Raqqah just two days ago, with US Marine howitzers, US Army Apache attack helicopters and USAF A-10's assisting and US special forces advisers embedded in SDF operational units. That's something the previous administration would never have done and the Turks are royally pissed. US Stryker IFV's patrol Manbij while flying the US flag very ostentatiously to deter any Turkish attack on that town. (While the Russians fly their flag in Afrin, another SDF enclave, a bit of useful US/Russian cooperation in Syria, albeit on a very small ad-hoc scale.)

Not much, because I haven't seen much that I think is positive. However, I did say that Gorsuch was a very good SCOTUS pick. And more relevant to this forum, I like the recent choice of Adam Kissel as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Higher Education Programs. I also think his tax plan would be an improvement, and that it was bold in a way that federal-level Republicans too rarely are. (I don't ever expect it to be enacted, but that's Congress, not the president.)

So not much, but not nothing.

Because unlike you, Bruce, and Hierophant, he's blinded by hero worship. I mean, if Clinton had won, and someone here were crowing about how she was the best president since George Washington and how Tim Kaine was going to be president from 2024 to 2032, wouldn't you find that a little odd?

I'm an all-out Clinton fan. But even assuming pest-case-scenario presidency, there's NO WAY it would be enough information at this point for this level of praise. And in current world, what are the chances of best-case presidency?

    P. S. she would be the best WOMAN President of all time, so there's something. And she is not an overgrown toddler, so upside right there.

Obviously I dislike Gorsuch, but from a Republican perspective, a competent pick. So there's that.
