Maybe, but in fairness, if I fired someone I'd expect them to refer to all of my decisions as terrible mistakes too.

It seems to me that the Mueller investigation will only have those dire consequences (worst mistake in modern political history) if it results in substantial findings. So is Bannon indicating that Mueller is going to find something big?

Maybe so, Bannon is good at being tight lipped.

The biggest political mistake in modern history is voting for Trump. Firing Comey was just par of the course after that.

    Comey is dirty

On the contrary: firing Comey was a solidly good politically and legal move on President Trump's part. Comey was doing very odd things that justified his termination, such as:

    (1) Comey was secretly leaking information to the press, instead of forwarding it to proper governmental investigators. That's not the way the head of the FBI is supposed to investigate criminal allegations. There is not one police academy in the United States that teaches that methodology, especially for the head of the FBI.

    (2) Comey also drafted his exoneration letter to clear Hillary Rodham Clinton of all allegations of criminal activity, prior to interviewing her and prior to interviewing key witnesses. That is shoddy political showboating that has no place in law enforcement. At a minimum, the suspect and witnesses should be interviewed, prior to announcing the conclusion of a case.

It appears that Comey is dirty.

    Bwa-ha-ha-ha!

    Source on this please.

...which is exactly what happened. Check the timing on these events.

Funniest things happen when previously rational and fair Trump supporter tries to pretend he's still rational and fair. Keep it up.

Stanislav, as a Ukrainian-Russian foreigner who does not reside in the United States, are you seeking a source for your own edification? Or are you asking for more information so more Americans can read and be informed about it? Please advise.

Because I suspect you misinterpret that source, that's why. Do you have one?
Otherwise, yeah, keep bringing the debate to my background. It shows how many good arguments you actually have.

Stanislav, you are a foreigner who lives outside the United States -- and you are Ukrainian-Russian -- which makes your constant criticism of the United States president on par with axis leaders in Iran, North Korea and other rogue nations. Why do you agree with their criticism of the U.S. president?

    Wow.

Your Fuehrer is not the United States. He's a sexual predator con artist endorsed by the KKK. why do you agree with KKK's blind support of this President?

God bless the United States -- and President Trump!

Stanislav, God Himself put President Donald J. Trump into office. When you resist President Trump, you resist God Himself. As a Ukrainian-Russian foreigner, your resistance is futile. God bless the United States -- and President Trump! And pray it every day!

me again, you look so weak every time you bring this up. It simply doesn't relate to whether he's right or wrong.

SteveFoerster, your point is understood, but the contrast remains nonetheless ironic.

Abner, do you believe that Comey incriminated himself?

Stanislav, you can see with your eyes and hear with your ears the video of Comey incriminating himself.

You missed the fact that the "biggest mistake" is a direct quote from Steve Bannon. Not from "source" either: he said it in a TV interview. CNN, and everyone else, reports it simply because Bannon criticizing his God Emperor is clearly newsworthy (he brags how loyal he is to Trump in that very interview), and because he was an ultimate insider. So yeah, hilarious.
